The Tactical Spork, which is made from food and water approved Grammid, is equipped with a fork/spoon combo and has a 2.5″ plastic serrated knife in the handle. The knife is accessed by pulling the spork in opposite directions from each extreme end. **Hint–avoid gripping the flat panel area in the middle of the Spork–this is actually part of its lock. The tighter you hold here, the more difficult it will be for you to pull out the knife! **
The Tactical Spork is 6.875″ overall and has a blade length of 2.5″. It weighs 0.1 lb.
Additional Features:
•Super high dense polymer plastic.
•Heavily serrated.
•Extremely light weight.
•Pretty durable and worth every penny.

The Night of a Thousand MREs There I was, camping in the back yard with my boys, getting ready to eat an MRE and make some coffee by the fire…….I quickly realized that the plastic around the MRE was thick……too thick for my arthritic hands to tear open. I knew that the situation was dire; my boys were looking up to me to feed them. What was I supposed to do? Tell them to go back inside the house and look in the refrigerator????? No, no, a thousand times NO!! I would not send my boys out in to the night to find the deck and back door to the house with naught but a flashlight, weak from hunger and weeping at the sight of their father’s helpless attempts to open the chili mac MRE. But what could I do?? What could any man do????Suddenly I remembered that my Ka-Bar Tactical Spork was in my back pack at my feet. With a gleam in my eye, crying “victory!!!!” I pulled out my utensil of badass-ness and removed the serrated knife from the fork-sheath……in no time, the MRE bag lay at my…

Like the design but….. While the design is really cool and the ability to use the knife and spork separately is definitely a plus please look at the picture. The spork is quite a bit smaller than the others pictured. The far left spoon is a German military surplus find (as part of a personal mess kit) and is almost too large to use as a personal spoon-its almost big enough to be a serving spoon. The red is by Humankind (from Office Depot I think), green is Light My Fire, Orange is Jetboil and the last is a Optimus MRE spoon. Speaking personally I would leave the Ka-bar at home and use one of the others as I always have a knife on me when hiking/camping.
